Looking for riders!

Want to see more volleyball? Badger Volleyball Fan Bus is your ticket to Wisconsin Volleyball away matches! For fall 2014, we are considering trips to see the Badgers play at Illinois (Champaign), Northwestern (Evanston), and Iowa (Iowa City). Is there’s sufficient interest we’ll look at a Minnesota trip as well for those who like really long road trips. And if Wisconsin goes to Milwaukee during the pre-conference season, we’ll look at a bus for that, too.

To receive more information about possible trips, sign up for our mailing list! We’ll be sending out surveys to try to gauge interest.

  1. Milwaukee-based fans, so maybe not looking for a ride, but would perhaps like game tickets with the group. Is that a possibility?

    • We can look into that. We were probably going to be rolling ticket cost for away games into peoples’ cut of the costs so we can explore a way to have folks just get tickets. Make sure to sign up for the mailing list if you haven’t. Thanks for your interest!

  2. One thing to think about is where people should park if you are thinking of campus as the starting location (which would be logical if you want to get students). I would vote for Union South area – which is near the usual parking ramps folks use for matches – although I do not know how long the Engineering lot is open.

    • One of the things we’ll be looking at over the summer is parking. If it’s something that can be reasonably worked out, we’ll see if we can have parking as an add on. We’ll also be looking at what the best places for pickup and dropoff are.

      • Maybe both a campus pickup and an area park n ride pickup…Dutch Mill for Illinois/Milw bound and Verona for Iowa

  3. I have written before to indicate that two of us would like to take the VB bus to the tournament in Minneapolis. I have not had a reply. Is this because there is insufficent interest and the idea has been tabled? I will be at the Meet and Greet this Wednesday at the Field House. My name is LAWRENCE JACOBSEN. Could someone contact me there or can you respond to this email?.

    • Larry,
Sorry about the lack of communication. Things non-volleyball related got a little crazy on our end here. We’re actually in the process of sending out an email to the mailing list and posting some info on the website. The response to your specific question though is that there wasn’t anywhere close to enough interest to pull the trigger on the preconference tournament in the Twin Cities.

      Regards.
